Senator Faisal Vawda said on Tuesday that Pakistan would not tolerate any US interference in its internal affairs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference, he said at most, the USA could give a suggestion, and not an order.
“Your secret service has failed. Your would-be president was fired upon. And you could do nothing,” he said referring to an attempt on the life of US President-elect Donald Trump.
Vawda questioned, “Why did not the US Congress utter a word on the Quetta blast in which dozens of people had lost their lives?
He was of the view that the call given by the PTI for a protest was a mere eyewash. “The PTI is in the habit of using its workers’ bodies for political gains.”
Every day, he went on to say, there was an announcement for a protest. “Now there is a final call for November 24,” the senator said.
He said he wished nobody could exploit the situation, arising out of the detention of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.
He dispelled the impression that the PTI’s protest would lead to the release of the former prime minister from jail.
He also rubbished reports of talks taking place between the PTI and the establishment.
