Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that all the democratic forces are not only on the stage but also on the same page to oust the incumbent government.

Addressing Pakistan Democratic Movement’s second power show at Karachi’s Jinnah Bagh on Sunday, Bilawal Bhutto said that this government has to go in the best interest of the public.

Bilawal said: “PDM is fighting for restoration of democracy in the country. This is not a new fight. The fight enters into final round and we will win it with the support of the masses. This is not the democracy for which Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto have sacrificed their lives. We have to get back democracy in Pakistan at all costs.”

The PPP chairman said that the PDM leadership would fight this battle in parliament, roads and jails. He said that time was not far that people would throw Imran Khan out of the Prime Minister office.

“This is not the battle of PDM. We are raising voice for the labourers, lady health workers, student, teachers, lawyers and the all walks of life and those who did not accept slavery. This movement is for the public empowerment not for dictatorship.”

The PPP chairman paid tribute to late PPP leader Rashid Rabbani. He regretted that Rabbani was not present today at Bagh-e-Jinnah on this historic moment.

Bilawal Bhutto said that martyrs of Karsaz tragedy wrote new chapter of democracy in Pakistan with their blood. He said that Benazir Bhutto showed matchless courage to come back Pakistan for restoration of democracy in the country. He said that mourning for the martyrs would continue. He said that the PPP would convert this grief into strength as did the Benazir Bhutto in Zulfiqar Bhutto’s case. He said after the Karsaz blasts, Benazir Bhutto reached the hospital to inquire after the injured PPP workers.

“We have to follow the democracy. We will fight till the end for democracy. Currently, all the voices are being muted who speak for the public. Judiciary is under pressure. Media is facing censorship. Rulers are unable to fulfil their responsibilities in addressing the public issues,” said the PPP leader.

Bilawal said the selected prime minister Imran Khan claimed he was informed through TV about the inflation in the country. The PM even did not know that AJK PM was nominated in sedition case. He was also unaware of sugar, floor and other crisis in the country, he added.

“Imran Khan is pushing the Karachiites towards darkness to save his friend in K-Electric. The PM did not help the flood affectees in Sindh. When a natural calamity arrives, the prime minister should act without any discrimination. Imran Khan has deceived the Karachiites with his Rs 1000 billion package. In the total Rs1000 billion package, Rs 800 billion belongs to Sindh’s ADP,” Bilawal added.

Bilawal Bhutto condemned the federal government for approving an ordinance regarding Sindh islands. He warned the government to withdraw the ordinance until Wednesday. He said that the Sindh government would not allow anyone to capture their resources and lands. He said that the federal government did not give the Sindh government it’s due share in NFC award.

Since Imran Khan took over the charge of PM, Pakistan’s foreign policy had been damaged badly. He said that the PM struck a deal on Kashmir and became Kulbhushan Jadhav’s counsel.
