Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa on Thursday hinted at fixing the cases of general elections and civilians’ trial in military courts for hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The lawyer for the employees of the Pak Arab Refinery Company Limited (Parco) pleaded with the Supreme Court to fix their case for hearing after 15 days.
“Cases of general elections and civilians’ trial in military courts are going to be fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court,” the CJP said.
“Difficult cases are going to be fixed for hearing in the Supreme Court during which it will be difficult to hear other cases,” he added.
“We will fix this case for hearing after two months,” the CJP said to the lawyer for the employees of the Parco.
The Supreme Court then adjourned the Parco case for two months.
It merits a mention here that until the decision of the Practice and Procedure Act in the Supreme Court, Article 184-3 cases were not being fixed for hearing.
