Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the Nawaz Sharif Interchange on Bedian Road in Lahore late Wednesday night and inspected the ongoing work on the underpass project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and CCPO Lahore accompanied him on the visit.
The chief minister, on the occasion, ordered making up for the time lost due to rains by engaging more labourers and bringing additional machinery to the project site.
CM Naqvi visits site of Akbar Chowk flyover
Later he visited the site of Akbar Chowk flyover early in the morning and reviewed progress made on the project so far.
He also inspected work on the construction of pillars.
The CM ordered expediting work on the project so that it could be completed as early as possible.
He expressed the hope that once the flyover was built, it would facilitate the movement of thousands of people.
