In view of the hearing of petitions filed by former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, seeking protective bails in Al-Azizia and Avenfield references, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has cancelled the cause list of cases, including the hearing of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s bail pleas in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust references, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The court was scheduled to hear PTI chairman’s bail petitions in both cases today.
The IHC has also deleted from the cause list hearing of an intra-court appeal filed by Imran, seeking court’s permission for meetings with members of his family, lawyers and doctors.
On the other hand, Naeem Haider Panjutha, counsel for the PTI chairman, commenting on today’s development, has said that justice is not being done to his client.
He has further said that the interim bail petitions he had filed on behalf of Imran in the Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases were rejected despite the fact that his client was in jail and could not appear in the court.
