PPP councillor booked for selling drugs in Daharki

Daharki police registered a first information report (FIR) against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) councillor Mehrab Khan Mehr and eight others for selling narcotics in Daharki, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.


Police resgistered an FIR on behalf of local resident Sikandar Ali Soomro.


The FIR named seven persons and mentioned two unidentified men who were involved in selling narcotics in the area.


The nominated accused included Mehrab Khan Mehr, Mushtaq Soomro, Ramzan, Majeed, Naveed Alam, Rashid Masih and Asif.


The FIR stated that all the above-mentioned accused were selling drugs in Jong Colony.


Most of school, college, and university students were getting addicted due to easy availability of narcotics.


After registration of the FIR, all the accused fled away leaving the narcotics at their den.
