Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief visited his party leader Hafiz Hamdullah who sustained injuries in a bomb attack.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman reached a Karachi hospital where Hafiz Hamdullah was undergoing treatment.
“Bomb blasts and attacks cannot shatter our resolve,” Fazl said, adding that the JUI has a history of making sacrifices for peace.
He continued: “Our leaders and workers proved to be a mountain of courage. Hafiz Hamdullah is our asset and the attack on him is the height of barbarity."
He prayed the Almighty may bless Hafiz Hamdullah and other blast-hit people with recovery. The JUI chief demanded the caretaker government bring to book the culprits as soon as possible.
Maulana Rashid Mahmood, Engineer Ziaur Rehman, Dr Naseeruddin Swati, Haji Aminullah and other leaders were also present.
JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah along with his companions were on their way in Balochistan’s Mastung town when he came under a bomb attack last week.
He got treatment at a Mastung hospital and was later shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta.
However, the party leadership decided to shift him to Karachi for treatment after consulting doctors at the Civil Hospital.
