Zahoor Ahmed, a BS-21 officer of Secretariat Group has been appointed as the Acting PTV Managing Director, reported the 24NMewsHD TV channel. 

The Federal Cabinet on Tuesday approved the appointment of Zahoor Ahmed through the circulation of the summary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The ministry prior obtained permission from the Election Commission of Pakistan before sending the summary to the federal cabinet’s meeting. 

On August 30, he was posted as Additional Secretary Incharge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The establishment division has recommended an additional charge allowance of 10% of the basic salary to the Acting MD PTV.
