Another case of monkey pox has been detected when symptoms of the disease were found in a traveller who came from Saudi Arabia and landed at Karachi Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, screening was done by the Health Department staff at Karachi Airport and the passenger was found to have symptoms of monkeypox during the screening.
The passenger had reached Karachi by PIA flight PK-762.
After checking the travel documents, the passenger will be transferred to Sindh Government's Infectious Disease Hospital, sources said.
PIA aircraft is being disinfected over monkeypox symptoms, sources added.
Sources said that the health immigration counter and convenor belt were also sprayed and disinfected.
