One labourer was killed on the spot and five other labourers received serious injuries when unknown assailants who were riding on a motorcycle attacked them with a hand grenade in Dera Murad Jamali on Wednesday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the labourers were busy having lunch when they came under attack.
These labourers were working on Block Top Road. The deceased labourer belonged to the Khairpur district of Sindh.
Police and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) reached the crime scene immediately.
Rescue teams shifted the body of the labourer and injured persons to the civil hospital.
