MDCAT test organized by University of Health Sciences (UHS) will be held on 22 September across Punjab and preparations in this regard have been completed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
For the test, as many as 26 examination centres have been established in 12 cities of Punjab for MDCAT tests.
A total of 58,380 candidates will appear in the test and among them, not less than 40,364 girls and 18,016 boys are included.
Moreover, eight examination centres have been established in Lahore, 6 examination centers have been set up for girls and two for boys.
The biggest examination centre is the Punjab University Examination Hall on Wahdat Road.
As many as 3779 girls will take the test in the examination halls of Punjab University.
Among the other examination centres, Comsat University, DPS Model Town, University of Education Township, Government Girls Graduate College Gulbarg, Lahore College for Women University, DPS Township and Government Islamia College for Women Cantt are also included in the examination centres in Lahore.
More than 4000 teachers will perform the duties of supervisory staff in MDCAT out of which 1000 supervisory staff posted in Lahore.
The supervisory staff was appointed by the Higher Education and School Education Departments.
Senior faculty and officers of the University of Health Sciences are nominated as focal persons while officers from the Department of Specialized Healthcare will monitor the arrangements for the test.
The Deputy Commissioners of 12 districts have prepared plans regarding the arrangements of MDCAT while District DPs and CPOs will supervise security and parking arrangements.
Roll number slips have been released to candidates by the University of Health Sciences.
Security clearance has been taken from the special branch of all the staff and officers performing duties in the examination.
The test will start at 10 AM and end at 1:30 PM while the examination centres will be opened for the candidates at 8 am.
After 09:00 am the examination centres will be sealed and no one will be allowed to enter.
The exam paper will consist of 200 objective questions and 55 percent marks in MDCAT and 50 percent marks in BDS is mandatory for MBBS admission.
Candidates will compete for admission to 3616 seats of government colleges and 5025 seats of private colleges.
Centralized admissions to public and private medical and dental colleges will be conducted by the University of Health Sciences.
