Pakistan has urged UN member states to support Palestinian self-determination and reject any attempts to alter the status of occupied territories.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, this call was made during the 10th Resumed Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly (ESS) on the Situation in Palestine.
In his statement, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, emphasised the urgency for immediate and decisive actions to address the ongoing injustices faced by the Palestinian people.
He stressed the importance of recognising the State of Palestine as a full UN member and advocated for convening an international conference on Palestine to further the two-state solution.
Ambassador Akram also reaffirmed Pakistan's steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause, drawing parallels with Pakistan's own history of achieving independence through self-determination.
