Protests over Rizvi s arrest: Quran Board chief sees breakthrough soon

Quran Board Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza has said the talks with TLP chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi remained positive and a breakthrough will come soon.
Sahibzada Hamid Raza is among the group of religious scholars who had a meeting with Saad Rizvi in a bid to broker a peace deal on Monday.
The meeting was not on behalf of the government, he clarified adding that the scholars wanted to keep law and order maintained.
He said Saad Rizvi asked his followers to be peaceful and the next phase of talks will be held soon.
The Quran Board chairman expressed hope the government will accept their genuine demands.
The team members, including Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, Mian Jalil Sharqpuri, and Sahibzada Abul Khair Zabir, called upon Saad Rizvi to issue a video message and asked protestors to end the protest. The visitors had Iftar with Saad Rizvi.
