On his return from Dera Ismail Khan, Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad and informed him about details of his meeting with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman on the issue of talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and former Senate chairman Farooq H Naek were also present in the meeting.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had returned from Dera Ismail Khan with a three-member delegation that, besides him, included Qamar Zaman Kaira and Faisal Karim Kundi.
During the meeting, Bilawal requested Maulana Fazlur Rehman to reconsider his decision of not holding talks with the PTI.

It is to be noted here that the PDM chief had rejected talks with the PTI. However, on insistence of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he asked for some time for further consultation on the issue.
“Negotiations with [PTI chairman] Imran Khan will not yield any positive result. The PTI has ruined Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 10 years,” Fazlur Rehman had said.
“Negotiations in democracy are the solution to all crises,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had replied.
