After expected resumption of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flights to European countries the airline management accelerates plans to start air operations to European countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

In this regard, sources claimed that the PIA management has decided to make Paris the hub for its European flight operations.

The PIA management has accelerated its plans to start flight operations to its European countries after a long wait of four years.

The sources said that PIA management is confident that the European Air Safety Committee meeting in the mid of May will allow PIA to resume European air operations.

The important meeting of the European Air Safety Committee will be held from May 14 to 16, sources said.

Keeping in view the situation, a team of senior PIA officials has also visited Paris, sources added.

The revival of PIA in European countries will earn billions of rupees annually.

Due to the ban on flights from European countries in July 2020, PIA has lost over Rs120 billion so far.
