Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to restart its international flight operations from Skardu Airport which were suspended in winter due to severe weather conditions in the area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a national carrier spokesman, PIA will start two flights in a week from April 29 to Dubai, UAE. PIA had started international flights operation from Skardu to Dubai in August 2023.
According to PIA officials, these flights will promote international tourism, trekking and expedition in the Baltistan Region. These flights will also boost international tourism, trade, culture and the relationship between different countries and Pakistan, he added.
