Korangi prostitution den busted, 15 arrested in Karachi police raid

Police on Sunday arrested seven men and eight women during a targeted raid on a prostitution den located in Korangi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to SSP Korangi Tariq Nawaz, credible intelligence was received about a brothel operating under the guise of a residence in the KDC Employees Society, allegedly run by Qaim Gul alias Ali Gulsher.

Acting swiftly, SSP Nawaz constituted a special police team that raided the premises and arrested 15 individuals, including the women involved.

The arrested men were identified as Hameed, Abu Bakr, Bilu, Mohammad Asim, Danish, Jattan, and Nabeel. The den was being operated by Sana alias Hina, wife of Gul Ahmad Shar.

The women taken into custody include Saira, Shehzadi (wife of Akram), Muqadas and Saima (daughters of Akram), Anwara, Zubeeda (wife of Nadeem), Sona (daughter of Nadeem), and Ayesha.

SSP Korangi stated that the owner of the den managed to escape, abandoning his white Toyota Vigo at the scene.

He further confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated, adding that the local residents had repeatedly complained about the illicit activities and expressed relief and satisfaction over the successful police action.
