Sheema Kirmani raises voice for TikToker Ayesha’s assault

Well-known Pakistani performer Sheema Kirmani along with her activists' stage protest against the shameful incident with a TikToker girl Ayesha at Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Sheema with many females’ activists arranged a protest from her organization, Tehrik-e-Niswan Cultural Action Group outside Karachi Press Club on Friday.

Protesters chanted slogans calling for harsher punishments for those involved in the incident as there was no explanation for what happened in this shameful tragedy with a female.

The demonstrators demanded the government that all the perpetrators should be brought to justice saying if those responsible were not punished for this heinous act, their morale would be even higher.

 They said that the impunity of those accused of abusing minor girls in the past had led to these incidents.

Sheema is a well-known exponent of Bharatanatyam (Kathak) dance in the sub-continent and a women rights activist. She is a founder of Tehrik-e-Niswan Cultural Action Group is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
