Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mian Shehbaz Sharif Friday demanded the Leader of the House Imran Kahn to convene an in-camera meeting on the Afghan situation.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif also urged the government to call a joint sitting of the parliament on the issue.
Shehbaz said the situation in Afghanistan had an impact on the entire region so the matter should be considered in a joint session of the parliament.
The opposition leader said the potential impact of the current situation of Afghanistan on Pakistan had a need to be analyzed in detail at both, the national and the political level.
He further stated that the current situation had also a need for a national consensus and all relevant stakeholders are on the same page.
