Another account spreading fake news against the COAS regarding his presence in the 14th August ceremony at the London Embassy has been uncovered by the Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA, reported Saturday 24NewsHD TV channel.

The fake news and the video circulating the internet were posted on a Twitter account which went viral, got 64000 likes and around 9000 retweets.

The Cyber Crime Wing, while taking action, captured Engineer Naveed’s Twitter account on which he claimed that the COAS celebrated 14th August at the London Embassy. Whereas, it is told by the authorities that the video posted against the Chief is from his tour to Ukraine in May 2021.

Another culprit in this case Mubeen Haider from Multan said that this fake news was re-tweeted by many huge and influential accounts as well.

He apologised for posting against the institutions. He said he posted on social media after getting inspired by the Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf’s campaign against Pak Army on social media.

He vowed not to post again such propaganda on social media in future.

The authorities said that the spreading of hateful fake news is planned propaganda for the sake of spreading hate between the nation and their protector Pak Army.
