MNA Afzal says not afraid of government’s tactics

A case has been registered against the famous Khokhar brothers of Lahore for interfering in government affairs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Afzal Khokhar, Saiful Malook Khokhar, Malik Shafi Khokhar and Faisal Saif Khokhar were named in the FIR for interfering in the LDA operation against the Khokhar Palace. 

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Deputy Director Muhammad Umar filed the FIR in Nawaz Town Police Station.

The other persons named in the FIR were Bilal Saif, Umar Saif, Faisal Afzal, Tahir Javed, Noman Javed, Najib Jahangir, Nabil Habib Khokhar, Akmal alias Goga, Manzoor Hussain and Faisal Ashraf Khokhar. A total of 150 people were nominated in the FIR.

According to the FIR, an LDA reached Johar Town for an operation against illegal constructions, but the people nominated in the FIR put up resistance by blocking the road. The accused hurled threats against the LDA workers, the FIR added.

The LDA carried out an operation in Johar Town on Saturday and blocked the entry gate of the Khokhar Palace by installing containers.

MNA Afzal Khokhar, MPA Saiful Malook Khokhar and their supporters including former chairman union council 256 Mian Awais, Azam Nambardar, Muhammad Rizwan, Malik Faisal Ashraf and others were inside the palace when the LDA blocked the entry gate.

Afzal Khokhar said the government is resorting to vengeful tactics against them for supporting the PDM rally. He said the government is again planning to launch an operation against Khokhar Palace.

He warned they are not afraid of such tactics as they owned every marla of it. “Imran Niazi will be responsible for results if the government made any such move,” he added.
