Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has presided over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to sources, the body approved lifting the ban on gas schemes to complete the gas project launched in the PML-N’s rule from 2013 to 2018.
However, the committee decided to continue the ban on the schemes launched by the PTI government, the insiders added.
The prime minister stressed that the plan for the solarization of government buildings in Islamabad should be presented at the earliest.
A briefing will be given to the PM regarding gas development schemes across the country.
The ministers concerned, key advisers and senior government officials attended the meeting that approved the completion of infrastructure/construction works of gas development schemes launched from 2013 to 2018.
