The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a notice to renowned singer Atif Aslam, demanding records for the audit of the year 2023, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, Atif Aslam has yet to submit his income tax return for the year 2023, prompting the FBR to issue a notice and set a deadline of December 22 for compliance.

He is accused of non-compliance with tax regulations, including non-payment of advance tax, failure to submit the 2023 income tax return, and neglecting to provide records for audit purposes.

Adding to the complications, it has been revealed that the singer has not submitted records to the FBR for the audit of the year 2020, despite receiving multiple notices.

In response to this oversight, the FBR has imposed fines on Atif Aslam for his failure to submit the required documents for audit.

The renowned artist has also faced repercussions for not submitting advance tax for the second quarter within the stipulated timeframe, even after the passing of the deadline.

The FBR's actions highlight the gravity of tax-related obligations and adherence to regulatory requirements, irrespective of an individual's public profile.

Atif Aslam is expected to address these issues promptly to avoid further penalties and legal, the sources added.
