Former MNA Nasrullah Khan Bijarani's son Shahzain Khan Bijarani Tuesday announced his joining of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He was welcomed by JUI Sindh president Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro in a press conference held at the residence of JUI leader Hafiz Rabnawaz Chachar in Kandhkot.

Shahzain Bijarani said he was impressed by the vision and leadership of JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and decided to join his party.

He said he would contest the upcoming election from Kashmore district on the JUI ticket and hoped to win the support of the people.

Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro said JUI was ready for the election in Sindh province and would field candidates in all the constituencies.

He said JUI would also give tickets to 50 women candidates and actively participate in the election campaign. He said there might be seat adjustment with PML-N in some areas of Sindh and the door was open for other parties as well.

He said JUI had obtained nomination papers for three candidates for each seat and a final decision of the candidacy would be made by the central executive committee.

He appealed to the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure free and fair elections and to improve the law and order situation in the province. He said JUI would request the deployment of the army and rangers at the polling stations in the Kacha area if the security situation was not satisfactory.

He also prayed to Allah to grant wisdom and honesty to the returning officers and district returning officers and to prevent them from becoming parties in the election process.
