Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting seven operations across the country have seized 1565 kg drugs worth Rs420 million and arrested 5 suspects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to ANF spokesman, its vigilant teams, during crackdown against drugs in Balochistan, seized 367kg opium, 55kg hashish, 19.5kg ice, 79kg hemp seeds, 58kg of opium seeds and 554 kg of intoxicant material from various areas of the province.
ANF teams recovered 180 kilogram heroin from Akhtarabad Quetta and taken into custody two suspects. 169kg hashish was seized from Jable Noor, Quetta and 6kg ice was taken into custody by ANF from a hotel in Satellite Town, Kech Balochistan.
ANF Islamabad team seized 24kg opium and 48kg hashish near Tablighi Center on Srinagar Highway. In Attock district, 2kg hashish was seized from the possession of an accused near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza. In Multan 1kg weed and 1.3kg ice was recovered from a car near Sher Shah Toll Plaza in Multan and 2 suspects were arrested.
ANF Spokesman said under anti-narcotic act, cases were being registered against the accused and further investigations were underway.
