PM, PCB chief commend Pakistan ODI series win against South Africa

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi have congratulated the Pakistan cricket team for winning the one-day international series against South Africa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the players, coaches, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board and officials of the board for their hard work.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan cricket team made a magnificent comeback as they worked hard and learnt from their mistakes.

He expressed the hope that in the upcoming matches especially in the Champion Trophy, the team will play well, adding Pakistan cricket team by winning the matches gave the best gift to the Pakistani fans.

Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi extended his warm greetings to the national cricket team for winning second ODI and series against South Africa.

In his message of greetings, Mohsin Naqvi said that national cricket team showed outstanding performance in the field by defeating South Africa on its home ground.

He also appreciated team work of and said that captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Khamran Ghulam showed their batting class and set the stage for winning the match and series.

He expressed the hope that this win will boost their morale for future matches and they continue to perform outstanding performance in upcoming ICC Champions Trophy matches.

Pakistan defeated South Africa by 81 runs in the second One Day International (ODI) at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on Thursday, securing the series win by 2-0.
