Sharia Appellate Bench ad hoc judge Qibla Ayaz has urged Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi to look into the affairs of International Islamic University (IIU) in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

In his letter written to CJP, Qibla Ayaz expressed concerns over the performance and conduct of Acting Rector IIU Dr Mukhtar Ahmed.

He contended that Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed was appointed as Acting Rector to bring improvement in the education and administrative affairs of the university.

The letter claimed that Acting Rector Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed has worsened the affairs of Islamic University.

The meeting minutes of the Board of Governors meeting have not been prepared and moreover, the next meeting of the board of trustees has been held in Jeddah.

Appellate Bench ad hoc judge claimed that contrary to the Supreme Court’s decision there is a possibility of electing new president of the university in the Jeddah session.

Qibla Ayaz requested the CJP, being a member of the Board of Trustees of the University, to seek detailed report on the affairs of the University.
