Pakistan Navy held joint exercises with the Russian and Sri Lankan navies at the end of Multinational Maritime Exercise Aman-21, said Pakistan Navy Spokesman on Saturday.
The bilateral exercises were held in the North Arabian Sea, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Navy's media’s wing said, “The joint exercise between Pakistan Navy and Russian ships is the third of its kind under the banner of ‘Arabian Monsoon 2021’.”
Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force air assets also participated in these bilateral exercises. The Navy’s DGPR said,” These joint drills practised anti-surface, anti-air warfare and countering multi-pronged maritime hazards.”
The spokesperson said the Pakistan Navy's bilateral exercises with navies of different countries are an expression of the country's commitment to promote and balance a safe maritime environment in the region.
Earlier, the Pakistan Navy's AMAN-21 concluded on Tuesday with a "graceful conduct" of the International Fleet Review (IFR), a press release by the military's media wing said.
President Arif Alvi attended the event as the chief guest and was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.
Military officials, ambassadors, high commissioners, defence and naval attaches of various countries also attended the event.
As many as 45 countries participated in the Aman exercise this year with their warships, aircrafts and special operation forces.
