Four suspects were arrested in an injured condition reportedly in two ‘encounters’ with the police in Karachi late Wednesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
SSP West Suhai Aziz told media that three persons were taken into custody following an encounter in Sector 51, Sarjani Lyari in District West of the city while two others disappeared taking advantage of the darkness.
He said three pistols and mobile phones had been recovered from those arrested, and they had been shifted to hospital for their treatment.
The SSP said more contingents of police had been called in to comb the area.
On the other hand, Samanabad police claimed that it had arrested a man in an injured condition following an ‘encounter’ near Ancholi Fire Station in Federal B. Area of the Sindh capital.
Police said that it had also recovered arms from the man named Qadir and shifted him to hospital for treatment.
