The President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chaudhry Pervez Elahi spoke to journalists after his court appearance on Friday, where he reiterated his support for Imran Khan and PTI.
He said he would never leave anyone in difficult times and accused the government of trying to prevent PTI from contesting the upcoming elections.
He said that the government was afraid of Imran Khan and PTI, and that their 'ladlas' (favorites) could not sleep because of their popularity. He said that the people had rejected the PML-N and their 'ladlas', who did not have the courage to face the public.
He claimed that PTI was not being allowed to conduct a free election campaign, and that their candidates' homes and election offices were being raided. He questioned who was being made happy by spreading fear in PTI.
He said that PTI was ready for political competition, and that they would fully participate in the election of national and provincial assemblies. He expressed his confidence that PTI's nominees would be successful on February 8, with the help of God.
