Maryam Nawaz, the Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has vehemently condemned the allegation of a level playing field by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Party, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a public rally at Khanewal on Friday, she said that every attempt to subtract the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from politics failed. “By the grace of Almighty Allah, respect for Nawaz in people’s hearts has increased,” she claimed.

Maryam Nawaz recalled that the 2018 elections were manipulated to undermine Nawaz Sharif. "The public is well aware of who bears responsibility for the rising inflation in the country. The question was raised, who would embark on an election campaign amidst the soaring inflation?”

She acknowledged the ups and downs in the political journey of every political party, stating, “In the realm of politics, both favorable and unfavorable occurrences are inevitable.”

She questioned whether Nawaz Sharif had indeed called for an attack on the state on May 9. Maryam Nawaz further added that Nawaz Sharif never urged anyone to throw petrol bombs or burn effigies in memory of martyrs.

She praised the party workers in Khanewal for attending the gathering in large numbers, saying, “I had no idea that the people of Khanewal would not bother about the intensifying cold and would attend the public gathering in large numbers.”

She voved that  nobody was there to compete with her party in the political landscape.

PML-N chief organizer said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had expressed his desire for a robust government that could effectively serve the people.  “She highlighted the importance of comprehensive governance. Maryam also pledged to build a university and hospital for Khanewal if her government would come into power.

She expressed the resolve that after coming to power, the party would develop all parts of the country, including Khanewal.

“Our war is against inflation, poverty, and bad governance,” she asserted.

The PML-N's vice president underscored the need for a strong government to address essential issues such as electricity, gas, and the affordability of basic commodities like flour.

She posed a rhetorical question about whose rights are being compromised in the face of rising prices, emphasizing the need for a fair distribution of resources.

Furthermore, in a significant political statement, Maryam Nawaz declared that currently, there is no contender in the political arena to challenge his party.

She also criticized certain individuals (PTI leaders) who fled leaving their footwear behind, implying a lack of courage.

Maryam claimed that Nawaz and his comrades faced what she called ‘injustices’ with perseverance and courage.

She claimed that only the former prime minister could pull the country out of crises.
