In a significant development aimed at easing the process of passport applications, the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the establishment of passport counters in NADRA Mega Centers across Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
This initiative eliminates the need for long queues and waiting, providing relief to the public.
Under the supervision of the Chairman of NADRA and the Director General of Passports, new and modern passport processing counters have been set up at Shimla Pahari, Sanda Road, and Akbar Chowk Peco Road. These counters have been commissioned under the "No Queue, No Waiting" policy, ensuring efficient and swift service for applicants.
Director General NADRA Lahore Region, Major (Rtd) Imran Ali, along with Director Passport and Immigration Khalid Abbas, visited the NADRA Mega Center at Akbar Chowk Peco Road to oversee the operations.
Previously, passport offices were limited to select locations, such as Garden Town Lahore. With this new collaboration between the Passport Department and NADRA, special passport processing counters are now available in all NADRA Mega Centers in the city, providing broader access to passport services for Lahore residents.
