The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Wednesday announced support for the candidate of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) for the by-elections in NA-245 Karachi.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, a delegation led by PML-N Sindh President Shah Muhammad Shah visited the Bahadurabad office of MQM Pakistan.
After the meeting with MQM leaders, Shah Muhammad Shah announced his support for the MQM-P candidate in NA-245 by-elections in a press conference.
MQM Pakistan's candidate Moeed Anwar thanked the PML-N and said that efforts will be made to maintain this alliance in the future.
Pertinent to mention here that before the PML-N, the Awami National Party (ANP) has already announced its support for the MQM candidate.
The seat of NA-245 was vacant due to the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aamir Liaquat Hussain. By-elections on NA-245 Karachi will be held on July 27.
