SC delists Friday’s hearing of plea against Practice and Procedure Act

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday delisted hearing of plea against Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Act, due to be taken up on Friday (July 21), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to statement released by the apex court, the case hearing was delisted because the SC larger bench was now to take up the pleas challenging military trials of the civilians on Friday.

On July 13 last, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had fixed the plea against Practice and Procedure Act 2023 for hearing on July 21.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial led eight-member larger bench was due to hear the plea. SC’s registrar office issued notices to all pleaders and respondents in this regard.
