The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has approved the names of two former top court judges as ad hoc judges to the apex court for a year, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) accorded the approval at a meeting under Supreme Court Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.
The commission okayed the names of Justice (r) Tariq Masood and Justice (r) Mazhar Alam Miankhel as ad hoc judges to the apex court for one year.
Justice (r) Mazhar Alam Miankhel declined the offer to serve as an ad-hoc judge of the Supreme Court and informed the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) about his decision.

Justice (r) Sardar Tariq Masood agreed to serve as an ad-hoc judge of the apex court.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa proposed the names of four ex-judges for the ad-hoc positions.
