The screening of 1247 pilgrims has been completed at a quarantine centre established at Multan Industrial Estate.
Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Munawar Abbas said that no suspected patient was found after the screening. He said that one elderly woman was suffering from diarrhea. She was shifted to Nishtar Hospital for further treatment, he added.
Dr Munawar said all the pilgrims returned from Taftan today.
The Punjab government is providing three-time meal to the people confined to the quarantine centre. The centre is consists of 3000 to 4000 rooms. Every pilgrim is kept in a separate room. Every room has an attached washroom as well.
The Punjab government has established the largest quarantine centre at Multan Industrial Estate to keep pilgrims returning from Iran in isolation.
