The daughters of a former bureaucrat have been deprived of expenses for the last twenty years, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The expense amount has exceeded Rs 6.5 million. Their father Tariq Muhammad Mirza has also served as Additional Secretary Finance.
Two sisters approached the Lahore High Court after not getting the expenses from their father despite the civil court degree passed about 20 years ago.
Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh heard the petition of application of Waliha Tariq and Ajwaria Tariq.
Raja Abdul Rahman, the lawyer of the petitioners, told the court that the civil court issued a degree to the father to give expenses to the daughters. But the father is not paying the expenses despite having resources and using delaying tactics.
The court was requested to order the implementation of the civil court order.
Petitioners Waliha Tariq and Ajwria Tariq while talking to City 42 said they are leading a pathetic life below the poverty line. “They are worried about inflation and the arrival of Ramadan. They are forced to live like orphans in despite having father.”
They also requested the apex court and the government to play a role to get the money from their father.
The lawyers of the parties will argue in court on March 28.
