ATC issues non-bailable arrest warrants for KP CM, other PTI leaders in May 9 case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and another 12 accused in the May 9 riots case.


The court of Malik Ijaz Asif issued the warrants for the accused including former federal minister Shireen Mazari, Murad Saeed, and Musrat Jamshed Cheema.


It orders producing them on April 2.  The court issued the warrant at the request of local police.


On May 9, PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen over the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan in a corruption case.


Angry protesters ransacked public property, stormed state assets and attacked sensitive installations across the country, leaving a trail of devastation.


Also, arrest warrants were issued for another 23 PTI leaders. Zain Qureshi  Hamad Azhar, Usman Saeed Basra, Osman Dar,  Raja Rashid Hafeez, Ejaz Minhas
