With the approval of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, the law secretary has appointed five new lawyers as Punjab assistant advocate generals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The law secretary after getting a go-ahead from Punjab Chief Minister Hamza, issued notification of the appointment of five lawyers as Punjab assistant advocate generals on Friday.
The judicial officers whose appointment has been notified are included: Amjad Ali Chattah, Muhammad Nasir Chohan, Sardar Tariq Mehmood. Syed Muhammad Fahd Tirmazi and Shafqat Ali Khan.
The new appointees have already reached the Advocate General Office to take charge of their duties on Friday morning.
Mr Chattah and Mr Chohan have already served as law officers.
During previous Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government, Mr Chohan vigorously supported the PML-N.
However, Mr Chattah remained low-key during previous PTI regime acting upon the principle of doctrine of necessity.
