Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that they want to protect their mandate and will not tolerate rigging under any circumstances.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he addressed the JUI Central General Council meeting after being reelected as the party head in Peshawar on Sunday.
Maulana Fazl said if the current decisions are of the state, where is the parliament in it? He said there could be a disagreement with institutions, they will call wrong as wrong but there is no permanent enmity with institutions.
He said democracy is the name of a 'Mahol' (an environment), in which public trust has to be gained, adding that there is no forced leadership in the Islamic state.
The JUI head said the blood of one Muslim is forbidden for another as the destruction of the Kaaba is not as heavy as the unjust killing of a Muslim.
He said they have lined up against lawlessness and will continue to demand peace in the country.
He also said that his party has always raised its voice for the oppressed around the world and he went to Qatar and raised his voice for them.
He also announced that the JUI will express solidarity with Palestinian Muslims on the coming Friday.
