South Africa clinched victory over Pakistan, while successfully chasing down a 186 runs target in their warm-up match of T20 World Cup played in Tolerance Oval Stadium of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 187/6. Thanks to the fifty of Fakhar Zaman and some fiery cameos from Shoaib Malik (scored 28 off 20 balls) and Asif Ali (scored 32 off 18 balls).
Earlier, the top order of Pakistan struggled as Babar Azam, managed to score 15 runs while Rizwan and Hafeez managed to score 19 and 13 runs respectively.
Kagiso Rabada stood out by taking the highest number of wickets for Australia. The right-arm fast-medium bowler dismissed 3 Pakistani players, while Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje took one wicket each.
In the chase, Australia lost their first wicket as early as 2.3 overs when Imad Wasim dismissed Quinton de Kock for six runs.
Rassie van der Dussen played magnificently and scored unbeaten 101 off 51 balls (strike rate: 198.03). Skipper, Temba Bavuma scored 46 runs.
Earlier the day, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first against New Zealand.
