Pakistani jewellers’ market observed a fall in gold prices on Thursday when the international market was witnessing a big increase in the rates of yellow metal.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the price of 24 karats of pure gold dropped by Rs200 per tola in the Pakistani jewellers market due to the devaluation of the dollar against the Pakistani currency.
After this big decrease, prices of pure gold reached Rs2,06,300 per tola while the price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs171 to Rs1,76,869.
In the international market on Thursday, the price of pure gold of 24 karats increased by US$13 per ounce and traded at US$1,972 per ounce.
Though the prices of gold decreased in the Pakistani market on Thursday, the price of silver did not change and traded at Rs2,500 per tola.
