Justice Ijaz -led SC bench hears pleas against civilians’ military trials on Oct 23

A larger bench of the Supreme Court will hear petitions challenging civilians’ trial in Army Courts on October 23, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The 5-judge bench led by Justice Ijazul Ahsan and comprising Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Mazahar Naqvi, and Justice Ayesha Malik will hear the case at 11:30 am.

The court has issued notices to the concerned parties for the case hearing.

The previous hearing of the case was conducted on August 3.

Elections in 90 days case

Meanwhile, another important case related to general elections will be heard by the Supreme Court on October 23.

A 3-judge bench under the chair of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa will hear petitions seeking elections within 90 days. The petitions have been filed by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and others.

Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aminuddin will also be part of the bench.
