The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central Punjab leadership has expressed concerns over the court’s decision to grant protective bail to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif till October 24 and termed the decision against the Constitution, law and democracy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
In their joint statement, PPP Central Punjab Vice Presidents – Mian Azhar Hasan Dar, Ch Akhtar, Arshad Jat, Mian Ayub, Javed Bhatti, Ijaz Suma, Rana Irfan, Khan Asif Khan and Amjad Nawaz Bobby said that granting protective bail to Nawaz Sharif was a unique decision.
“Favours and concessions are being showered on a specific party,” they said and added that the caretaker government and some institutions had been facilitating Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) openly.
“The political campaign in the provincial capital shows the future scenario,” they said and added that the ‘selection and recruitment policy’ for the upcoming election had been exposed.
“The concessional attitude of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) towards Nawaz Sharif is telling a lot,” they stated and added that the level playing field had been allocated for the new ‘ladla’.
They pointed out that some people were determined not to learn from past mistakes, pledging that the PPP would unveil PML-N’s pre-poll rigging everywhere.
