Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s efforts have started bearing fruit, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The preparation of seeds for higher yields of wheat, sugarcane and soybean is in the final stages.
The chief minister visited the Agriculture University in Faisalabad where the vice-chancellor briefed him about the preparation for high-yield seeds of wheat, sugarcane and soybean seeds
The chief minister said the the farmers' production per acre will go up by three times after the seed lands in the market.
It is hoped that next year these seeds will be available and will bring betterment to farmers' lives.
He also visited the stalls set up for the enrollment campaign of student societies of the University of Agriculture.
Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar got the membership of Tech Societies of Agricultural University by paying Rs5,000 fee. Ministers and officials concerned accompanied the chief minister.
Also, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new Khidmat Centre in the Garden Town area of the provincial capital. Police high-ups and other officials concerned were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, he said more service centres are being built. He stressed that he registered betterment in police behaviour. More than Rs1 billion in funds will be released to improve the condition of police stations.
