Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi Thursday said that he is working for giving visa-on-arrival to Sikh pilgrims that come to Pakistan, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Sikh pilgrims that came to Pakistan for pilgrimage from different countries called upon Mohsin Naqvi at the CM residence and thanked him for tending to their religious places.
Mohsin Naqvi announced establishing a community center for the Sikhs at Nankana Sahib. He also announced tourism packages in Punjab for them.
He said that the tourism department is working on them and soon, the Sikhs will be able to book the packages online. They can come to Pakistan whenever without any problems.
Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman greeted the pilgrims on their arrival.
The pilgrims said that the love they received in Pakistan is beyond words. They had not expected to be greeted by the Punjab government like this and they are grateful for it.
Provincial Ministers Azfar Ali Nasir, Aamir Mir, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Additional Secretary Home, Secretaries Tourism, Endowments, Information, Commissioner Lahore Division, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and related officials were also present on this occasion.
