Due to gas shortage, Sui Southern Gas Supply Corporation (SSGSC) announced that all the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will remain closed for 24 hours in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The CNG supply was suspended from Sunday 8 am to Monday 8 am Residents of the different areas complained that due to the suspension of CNG, they are facing a lot of difficulties while some residents said that CNG was suspended in their areas for at least 9 hours from morning till night daily.
Residents said that despite the suspension of CNG they are receiving higher bills regularly. Now bills are increasing sans gas supply.
On the other hand, the residents said that continued electricity load-shedding in most parts of Karachi made their lives miserable. They said that they are facing unannounced load-shedding.
A K-Electric spokesman said that 70 per cent of areas of Karachi get uninterrupted electricity supply, while those areas that are involved in electricity theft face load-shedding according to load management.
