Expressing concern over the non-payment of compensatory amount to the people whose lands were acquired for the development of different sectors of Islamabad, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to tell as to how those whose lands were purchased could be paid the amounts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing of petitions filed by the original owners of these lands seeking court orders for the provision of monetary compensation to them, Chief Justice (CJ) of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah remarked that nothing else could be called such a blatant violation of human rights than this case. “All this is being done by the CDA officials in connivance with the police and Patwarkhana,” he said.
