Pakistan Customs department appointed Commonwealth games’ gold medalist Nooh Dastgir Butt as Honorary Assistant Collector Customs and awarded him with a guard of honour, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Tuesday.
Member customs operations Makram Jah awarded him with a guard of honour and conferred the badges of the Assistant Collector.
After receiving the honorary post in the customs department, Nooh said he will do all his hard work to get the gold medal in the Asian games and Olympics in future.
Nooh who won the first gold medal in the commonwealth games 2022 arrived custom house in the customs uniform where he was presented with a guard of honour from the department.
Member custom Makram Jah said that Nooh Dastgir Butt represents a healthy trend in society. He announced to support Nooh financially from the department to enhance his abilities for more medals in other competitions in future.
Customs’ Chief Collector enforcement Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, Chief Collector appraisal Rubab Sikandar, Collector Customs enforcement Mohsin Rafeeq, Collector Saeed Asad Rizvi, Muneeza Majeed, Saima Aftab, Noreen Tarr, and Saeed Vito attended the award ceremony.
Additional Collectors Ali Zaib Khan, Palwasha Syed, Tauqeerdar, and Sobia Kiran also participated in the ceremony.
