Director-General (DG) Passports Mustafa Jamal has said that backlog of unprinted passports already cleared in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and other major cities of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
He further revealed that all the backlog of those unprinted passports which were applied through online from abroad were also cleared.
He said that around 24,000 passports were issued to overseas Pakistanis and now they are focusing on regional passport offices to clear backlog of unprinted passports.
He stated that due to installation of new printers smooth functioning of passports will be streamlined within a month.
